XploraPro v1.0 Data and App Privacy Policy
What data does the XploraPro v1.0 App store?
- The App does NOT require any identifying data from you to function - NO account set up, NO email, NO phone number and so it does not store any identifying data like this
- The App does not use any Advertising or Advertising ID - to fund it - it is purchased for a small one-off fee - and the App will recieve updates thereafter for free - no yearly subscriptions
- The App stores your location data on your physical device. This is how it shows your current and historical tracks on a Map - its a large part of what this App does! It uses the GPS on your Phone to locate your current position to the accuracy determined by the GPS and by you in Settings. This Location data is NOT directly shared remotely or off device - period. The small caveat to this is that the third-party MapBox API's that the App uses probably will send anonymised location data to their Servers but MapBox advise that this data is purged periodically
- You can delete Track data in the 'List Tracks' option by Swiping left to delete. This removes the Track and Track Point Data from the local datastore

One of the App's great features is to allow you to generate Gpx files from the App and also be able to load external Gpx files on to the App's map. To allow this, Android security requires that you authorise access to a folder on the App that XploraPro has read/write access to. The System request to authorise this will appear when you, the user, attempts to generate or load a Gpx file. You may be requested to create a folder or you may be able to use the 'Downloads/GpxFiles' folder that the App tries to create. It depends on the version of Android that you are using.
